So if 3/4 equals 75 percent it could take him 3 days to do 75%.

I think it would be 4 days because 4/6 is 75% of the job.

I divided 3/4 by 1/6 and got 4 and 1/2, so my answer is it takes him 4 and 1/2 days to paint the fence 3/4 of the way.

Hints
I see many of you are putting 3 days. In order for him to paint 75% of the fence in 3 days he would have to paint 25% or 1/4 of it per day. He is not. He is only painting 1/6 of it per day. The answer can not be 3 days.

I think the answer would be 4 1/2 days because when I divided 1/6 divided by 3/4 I got 4/18 and then I simplified it and I got 4 1/2

Re: Fractions Review
you have to paint 3 days because if you paint 2 days it is not the precise amount but 3 is the exact amount.

Re: Fractions Review
It will take him 5 days because you can't divide 6 evenly by 4... I think

Re: Fractions Review
I think that it will take him 4 and 1/2 days because I divided 3/4 by 1/6 then I got 18/4 so I changed it into a mixed number and I got 4 and 2/4 and I knew that 2/4 was equal to 1/2 and thats how I got 4 and 1/2.
